Qualified Plumber/Gas Engineer
Location: Mobile Role
Salary: Depending on experience
As a Gas Engineer you will be carrying our Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) for clients across the UK. You will be responsible for PPM tasks on all gas fired and hot and cold-water service assets within commercial buildings. It is essential that applicants have at least 5 years’ experience and hold the required City & Guilds/NVQ qualifications listed below.
Main duties & responsibilities:
Working as a Gas Engineer across the UK your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Complete fault analysis for heating installations
Recommend, programme and carry out remedial works to heating installations
Reactive Maintenance
Complete reactive maintenance tasks and minor repairs, including tracing of faults, changing of component parts, carrying out temporary repairs and diagnostics
Build strong, professional relationships with customers and suppliers
Handle and respond to all requests for assistance, enquires or complaints in a professional manner
Proactively undertake all gas handling activities in line with statute and relevant guidance
Ensure the Employer’s Health & Safety obligations are met in line with Health and Safety policy
Carry out any other tasks or responsibilities that are required
Essential skills and experience required:
At least 5 years’ experience as a Gas Engineer
City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Gas Installation and Maintenance
City & Guilds/ NVQ Level 3 in Heating and Ventilating
City & Guilds/ NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating
Gas safe registered
Commercial Gas Certification
Certified in Combustion Performance Analysis (CPA1)
Experience working in a maintenance (PPM and/or Reactive) environment
Full clean driving licence
